Home / How we work
From your specification to your production line
A straightforward way of working, built around your production schedule rather than our order book.
Four stages, no surprises
Most supply problems are not caused by the ingredient. They are caused by assumptions nobody checked. This is how we avoid them.
Understand
We start with your specification, volumes and production schedule, and take the time to learn how your site actually runs. What format your line takes, how much storage you have, what your customers require on certification and what your current supply is getting wrong.
What we need from you: the grade or specification, volumes, pack format and any certification requirement.
Source
We match the requirement to the right producer, check the certification is current and in scope, and agree price and terms. Where the specification you have asked for is not the best fit, we will say so before quoting rather than after.
What you get: a quote with price, availability, lead time and the specification it is based on.
Deliver
Stock is scheduled to arrive inside your production window, batch coded and fully traceable, with the documentation your quality team needs supplied as standard rather than on request.
What you get: delivery to schedule, specification, allergen and origin information and batch coding.
Review
We keep you ahead of market movements, review pricing and performance with you, and bring you better options as they appear. If a producer slips on quality or reliability, we move the requirement rather than waiting for you to notice.
What you get: early warning on markets, and a supplier who raises problems before you find them.
What a first enquiry looks like
You do not need a full specification to start a conversation. Plenty of enquiries begin with a product and a problem rather than a technical sheet, and that is fine.
The more you can tell us up front, the faster and more accurate the quote. If all you have is “we use roughly this much of this, and our current supplier keeps letting us down”, that is still a sensible place to begin.
- Tell us the ingredient, or the product you are making
- Rough volumes, monthly or annual
- The pack format your line is set up for
- Any certification your customers require
- What is going wrong with your current supply, if anything
Working with us
How long does it take to get a quote?
For a product in our regular range, usually the same or next working day. Where we need to source against a new specification or a certification requirement it takes longer, and we will tell you how long when you ask.
What do you need from us to quote?
The ingredient, the specification or the grade you are working to, your annual or monthly volume, the pack format your line takes, and any certification your customer requires.
Can we trial before committing?
Yes. Where a producer can supply samples or a trial pallet we will arrange it. It is a sensible step when you are changing an established formulation.
What happens if something goes wrong with a delivery?
You call us and we deal with it. Because we hold the producer relationship and the documentation, we can usually tell you what happened and what we are doing about it on the same call.
Ready to start?
Tell us what you use and in what volumes. We will come back with pricing, availability and lead times.
